The Liechtenstein Institute for Strategic Development (LISD), with support from the Government of Liechtenstein, has officially announced the 2026 call for applications for the REED Scholarship. The programme targets postgraduate students pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy at selected partner universities in Africa, including the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).
The scholarship is part of a broader international development initiative aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 7, which focuses on ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all
The REED (Renewable Energy Enterprise Development) Scholarship is designed to build technical capacity and leadership among emerging African energy professionals. It provides financial support to qualified students enrolled in participating master’s programmes, enabling them to contribute to renewable energy access across communities, industries, and urban systems.
